National Student Pride

National Student Pride is the biggest gathering of LGBT+ students in the UK. Our annual event is held in February (LGBT History Month) featuring talks and debates with inspirational activists, a weekend of roof-raising pride parties and the UK’s largest queer-inclusive recruitment fair.

The Proud Trust is an LGBT+ organisation that supports LGBT+ young people through youth groups, peer support, mentoring programs and the Proud Connections chat service.

Switchboard LGBT+ Helpline

An information, support and referral service for lesbians, gay men and bisexual and trans people – and anyone considering issues around their sexuality and/or gender identity.

MESMAC Bradford

One to one support with Community Development Workers. Free gay affirmative counselling for gay, bisexual and men who have sex with men, female partners of men who are attracted to men, Young Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Trans people under the age of 25 and HIV positive people who live in in Bradford.

Stonewall

Information and advice for LGBT people on a range of issues. We’re here to let all lesbian, gay, bi and trans people, here and abroad, know they’re not alone. We believe we’re stronger united, so we partner with organisations that help us create real change for the better.

Mermaids

Support for trans, including nonbinary and gender diverse students aged 18 – 25.

Albert Kennedy Trust (akt)

Supports LGBTQ people aged 16-25 who are homeless or living in a hostile environment.

Yorkshire Bears

The group welcomes guys of all states and statures, bears & cubs, twinks & twonks, otters & ewoks, chubs & chasers and those that just like to be known as a ‘person’. The Yorkshire Bears is all about providing a supportive environment for gay men to socialize.

Galop

Emotional and practical support for LGBT people experiencing domestic abuse. Abuse isn’t always physical- it can be psychological, emotional, financial and sexual too. Speak out, don’t suffer in silence.

Imaan

Supports LGBTQ Muslims and their friends and family.

LGBT Foundation

LGBT Foundation provide a wide range of support services to lesbian, gay, bi and trans people. We also work with healthcare and other professionals to help make public services more accessible and inclusive for LGBT communities.

Gender Identity Research & Education Society (GIRES)

GIRES is a UK wide organisation whose purpose is to improve the lives of trans and gender diverse people of all ages, including those who are non-binary and non-gender.

LGBT HERO

HERO was designed to improve the health and well-being of LGBTQ+ people by offering trusted information and advice so LGBTQ+ people can create personal and social change in their lives and our community. All of LGBT HERO’s projects are created by LGBTQ+ people, for LGBTQ+ people.

MindLine Trans+

MindLine Trans+ is a confidential  emotional, mental health support helpline for people who identify as Transgender, Agender, Gender Fluid, Non-binary. We are also here to support family members and friends and to provide signposting to other services and resources.

MindOut

MindOut Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans & Queer Mental Health Service. MindOut is a mental health service run by and for lesbians, gay, bisexual, trans and queer people with experience of mental health issues.

Pink Therapy

Online directory of qualified therapists who identify as or are understanding of minority sexual and gender identities.  We are the UK’s largest independent therapy organisation working with gender and sexual diversity clients.

Equity Partnership

We play an active role in developing our LGBT communities by supporting existing groups and helping new ones to start through our community development work. We run the quarterly Bradford LGBT Group Network, where groups and individuals come together to network and discuss issues.
